Hi readers ^^ this is my second post. Now in this post, I want to share my teaching experience.
Last month, me and my friends were asked to teach about history. At that time, I was very very confused. I didn't know what material I should teach, the topic which interested, and the most confusing is:
I can't teach history, in english. .___.
Honestly, my history score are bad, and I think I'm not good enough in speaking english.
My partner is Fendy. We have 1 day to made the lesson plan. And at that night, I decided to choose Holocaust as my topic. Why Holocaust? Because I thought, only few teenagers knew about Holocaust.
I (and Fendy) prepared the material about 2 weeks. We prepared the games, downloaded some photos and videos to show. And at the day before my performance, I stayed up late till 1 am for preparing the material (again).
At the day, I was nervous. I have 30 minutes to taught my classmates. Sadly, everything isn't as simply as I (and Fendy) prepared. Unfortunately, we couldn't show our students those photos and videos because there was no electricity. -_-
I thought that my topic is quite interested, but looks like my classmates weren't really excited. When I was teaching, only few of them that listened to me, and the other, they were very noisy in the class. I felt 30 minutes were so long. I wanted to stop teaching, but I shouldn't. I didn't know how to made them listen to me, and I couldn't give them a punishment. So I (and Fendy) just go on teaching till the end of class.
At that time, I realized that being teacher is hard. You must know how to take students' attention.
From that time, I decided to paid attention to every teacher who taught in my class, even though the lesson made me excited, sleepy or bored. I know, being teacher isn't as easy as I thought.
Well, that's all my teaching experience. Thanks to Ms. Agnes, for giving us chance to taught, so I knew how difficult being a teacher.
